Project Learning Garden provides public and charter elementary schools in metro Atlanta, GA, Ventura, CA and LA Unified School District, CA with strategies for building effective and long-lasting garden-based learning programs.
Teachers at schools are provided with hands-on training, curriculum aligned to national standards, lesson kits filled with supplies, a schoolyard garden, fully-equipped mobile cooking cart, and summer garden management strategies.
Project Learning Garden is based on best practices from over 750 Captain Planet Funded outdoor classrooms, organic gardens, pollinator gardens, learning trails, native habitats and fruit orchards.
